I’m deeply proud of everything that Oasis has built over the past 10+ years. We’ve created more than a nightclub — we’ve built a home, a clubhouse, and an artistic sanctuary — where the LGBTQ+ community can shine, create, and thrive. And today that mission feels more vital than ever.

Artistically, Oasis is thriving. Behind the scenes we’re facing real financial challenges. Our job has always been to bring the sparkle, to help people escape — even for a little while. Creating a space that’s truly unique, that elevates performers and delights audiences, comes with high costs. And in today’s world, those costs are rising faster than we can keep up. It’s not easy to talk about the hard stuff. But the reality is that we can’t keep going the way we have been. And yet — we’re not giving up. We’re evolving. Because as they say, necessity is the mother of invention.

That’s why I’m thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter: Starting today, Oasis Arts, the San Francisco-based nonprofit, will officially take over programming at Oasis. This change will allow us to raise the funding we need; not just to sustain what we’ve built, but to grow it.
